  • Accommodation is not included and must be arranged by the delegate. 
Course Objective
The Saddle Making course consists of the construction of a rigid tree saddle. Please note that saddle construction is a detailed hand made process.  Candidates will need to attend this level in two sessions to complete their first saddle. All candidates must have taken the Introduction to Saddle Making Class previously.   • Punching
  • Finishing
  • Webbing up
  • Bellies
  • Seat
  • Panel
  • Flocking
  • Finishing the component saddle
  • Professional work practices
Theory Requirements -
  • Names and use of all tools
  • Properties and characteristics of the materials used, and the fittings required
  • Names of all parts and their function
  • Reasons for each procedure
  • Explanation of design features
  • History of Saddlery
